Graduated in Medicine over 45 years ago, cardiologist, master in cardiology from PUC-RIO, nutrologist from ABRAN and the Brazilian Medical Association, CRM – MG 6972, Dr. Lair Ribeiro lived for 17 years in the United States, during which time he worked at three American universities: Harvard Medical School, Baylor College of Medicine and Thomas Jefferson University. During this period, he also held the positions of chief medical officer at Merck Sharp & Dohme and chief executive officer, to vice president at Ciba Corporation, now Novartis.

The author of more than 100 scientific papers published in indexed American medical journals, Dr. Lair Ribeiro has also published 42 books, 15 of them best sellers, 26 translated into other languages and now available in more than 40 countries.

For over 20 years, he has given lectures in several Brazilian cities, several countries in South America, Central America, North America, and Europe. He has trained more than 4,000 Brazilian physicians in the area of Nutritional Adequacy and Optimization of Homeostasis.

Currently, Dr. Lair Ribeiro is a postgraduate professor at Uningá – Centro Universitário Ingá, an institution evaluated by the MEC in 2017 as the fourth best university center in the country, the second in the South and the best in Paraná.

Entitled Nutritional Adequacy and Maintenance of Homeostasis – Prevention and Treatment of Age-Related Diseases, the lato sensu postgraduate course at Uningá – Centro Universitário Ingá, coordinated and taught by Dr. Lair Ribeiro, lasts 18 months, corresponding to 360 hours of classes.
